25th Annual Basura Bash River and Waterway Clean-up!!

25th Annual Basura Bash River and Waterway Clean-up!!

Join us for a one-day, all-volunteer event to clean up the San Antonio River! For the past 25 years, volunteers have worked to make San Antonio waterways more healthy and beautiful through Basura Bash. Volunteers will collect trash from the banks of Headwaters Sanctuary waterways to protect wildlife in the refuge and stop pollution from heading downstream. The Zarzamora Creek Tributary cleanup will reach from the Leon Valley city limits below Bandera Road, and will end at Evers Road, above IH-410. It is an engineered channel close to very busy thoroughfares and elevated highways. Registration will be in the HEB parking lot at 5601 Bandera Road, in the last row of parking spaces beside the creek. There will be a sign to direct participants to the correct location.
