Traffic, Streets, & Sidewalks
The streets of Leon Valley, not including the several miles of highways which are maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), are maintained by the Leon Valley Public Works Department. The maintenance follows an annual street repair and maintenance program. Attempts are made to repair and resurface each street every seven years while also addressing unsafe conditions during the year.
It is the task of Public Works to erect and maintain the street signage in Leon Valley. This includes the street name signs and traffic control signs. Leon Valley has three traffic signal intersections that are maintained.
In addition to the street system the sidewalks in Leon Valley are repaired by the Public Works Department on a limited scale. Public Works also causes new sidewalks to be constructed in the City in an annual limited extension program. If you have any questions or issues that need to be reported in regards to streets, signage, or sidewalk you can submit a ticket online or call (210) 684-OnIt.
