Citizens To Be Heard


Citizens to be heard is your opportunity to address your City of Leon Valley elected officials directly about issues that are important to you and your community. The City of Leon Valley City Council shall hold an in-person meeting with as many City Members of City Council physically present as possible. All other Citizen participation may be provided in-person at City Council Chambers. However, we strongly encourage you to watch the meeting online from home and submit your comments during citizens to be heard. 
 

You Can Submit Citizens To Be Heard Comments To Your City Council Via E-Mail or Mail

On March 23, 2021, the Leon Valley City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2120-13. Section 1.104.001, (d) (2) “Appearance. Citizens may appear in person or by written appearance if unable to attend the meeting. Written comments must include their name and place of residence (city and state). Written comments should be sent so that they are received prior to the start of the meeting to ensure they are read during the meeting. All written comments shall be included in the meeting minutes. If the citizen is not a resident or a business owner of the city and is not present in person to speak at the meeting, their comments may be read at the request of the Mayor or any council member.”
