Cleanview Resources crews are currently working in the Castle Estates Neighborhood. Work will take approximately two weeks in this area. The City of Leon Valley urges residents and motorists to exercise caution and patience. Thank you
The Public Works Department has contracted with Cleanview Resources, LLC to clean and televise approximately 35 miles of sewer mains throughout the City.
The project….
Cleanview Resources will be completing work in the Old Mill neighborhood. On May 15th, crews will be on Timberhill (from Huebner to the City Limits). Utilizing pressurized water through a sewer jet head, and hose, any loose debris such as wipes, asphalt, sediment, grease, etc. is pushed to a downstream manhole. A large vac truck then removes the debris from the sewer main, and properly disposes the material in a licensed landfill. A camera is then used to televise the sewer main, and the condition of the main is documented. This helpful information can then be used to assess the current condition, and prioritize any necessary repairs.
What you can do….
Be careful driving around equipment, and mindful that manholes could be opened during work on that particular segment of sewer main. These areas will be monitored by Cleanview Resources staff. During the time crews are working in your neighborhood, as a precautionary measure, we recommend you close your toilet lids, and sink and tub drains.
Thank you in advance for your patience, as this important project helps us maintain our sewer infrastructure for many years to come.
